Recognized as one of the top 99 limit breaking female founders Jennifer Fein, Co-Founder and CEO of YouLi shared the most important lessons she learned on her journey to creating YouLi.
In a recent interview with HuffPost she shared her inspiration and the idea behind YouLi
“I’m a traveler, but even more, I’m a planner,” Jennifer reveals. “When I travel somewhere I do the research and make it super special. In my mind it’s a vivid, beautiful journey. In my spreadsheet it’s a pile of dates, numbers and links. I hated emailing around word docs and spreadsheets that no one read, and I was frustrated with managing disjointed feedback and updates.” Jennifer was inspired to make simpler, better tools for people to experience the world and empower them to bring others along.
What are the 3 most important lessons Jennifer has learned from her experience in creating the YouLi platform.
- Be comfortable with being told “you are too early”. I’ve delivered many pitch decks and most of them were rejected. Then one day, I stood in front of a room of angel investors and delivered the best pitch they’d seen in a long time. I was finally at the right place at the right time with the right message.
- Experiment cheaply, but finding the right moment to invest is the art of building a business.
- Cultivate your support network
